OCCS 2016-17 Ohio Report Card Highlights

The 2016-2017 Ohio State Report Card was released on September 14. Here are some of the OCCS sponsored school highlights:

Achievement Component:

35 of 40 (88%) OCCS brick and mortar schools performed equal to or better than the local district.             

In Columbus, 6/9 (67%) OCCS schools performed better than the district.

Virtual Schools:

OCCS sponsors the two highest performing statewide virtual schools in Ohio in terms of Achievement.

Ohio Connections Academy performed better than 5 of the other 6 virtual schools in Achievement and was equal to the 6th, which was Ohio Virtual Academy.

Ohio Virtual Academy performed better than 5 of the other 6 virtual schools in Achievement and was equal to the 6th, which was Ohio Connections Academy.

 

Progress Component:

35 of 40 (88%) OCCS brick and mortar schools performed equal to or better than the local district.

Specifically, 28 of 40 (70%) OCCS schools performed better than the district.

  • In Cleveland, 8 of 9 (89%) performed better than the district.
  • In Columbus, 9 of 9 (100%) performed better than the district.
  • In Dayton, 1 of 2 (50%) performed better than the district.
  • In Toledo, 4 of 6 (67%) performed better than the district.
  • In Youngstown, 1 of 1 (100%) performed better than the district.

             

Additional Points of Interest:

Columbus Preparatory Academy has the 3rd highest Performance Index Score in the entire state.

Of all public schools in Ohio, Columbus Preparatory Academy is one of only 80 schools to receive an “A” in Achievement. 

Columbus Preparatory Academy is one of only two charter schools in the state to receive an “A” in Achievement.
