Over the course of School Choice Week (January 22-28, 2023) the OCCS team joined thousands of others using their voices to highlight school choice on social media.
Since 2011, National School Choice Week has grown into the world’s largest celebration of opportunity in education. Families, schools, and organizations amplify the message of parent empowerment and opportunity in education. Every child deserves an effective, challenging, and motivating education. And, because each student has their own unique set of talents, interests, and challenges, having a variety of options is crucial.
Families turn to charter schools for many reasons, often seeking alternative learning styles, a school with a special focus, or a school that works with their unique family dynamics. Charter schools are an excellent option. They have the freedom to innovate and are held to high standards of performance.
