Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month

From September 15th - October 15th, schools are encouraged to celebrate the cultures, histories, and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America into their lesson planning. For more information on celebrating the month, click here.

Additionally, the Smithsonian has a rich resource center that caters to educators looking to create engaging lessons, students interested in learning more about Hispanic heritage, and anyone interested in exploring the rich cultural contributions of Hispanic Americans.
