Ohio Launches Whole Child Framework

The Ohio Department of Education released Ohio’s Whole Child Framework, which takes a comprehensive approach to meeting the needs of the whole child beyond academics to also include student’s social-emotional, physical and safety needs. The Whole Child Framework provides a blueprint to meet these whole child needs, which are foundational to a child’s intellectual and social development and necessary for students to fully engage in learning and school. It supports the goals of Ohio’s strategic plan for education, Each Child, Our Future.

Please visit the Ohio Department of Education website for the detailed Whole Child Framework PDF and its supporting resources and information. You will also find a Whole Child Resources page with resources to support schools in providing whole child supports to students.
